Founded in 1897, Queens is -geographically and numerically- the largest administrative unit in New York. It is a cultural pot of varying ethnicities that number to over 2.2 million who have settled on the 148 sq. mile enclosure. It is surrounded by Nassau County to its east, Long Island to the west; the rest, by water.
Queens is famous for housing two of the most iconic airports in the U.S., i.e., LaGuardia Airport and Kennedy International Airport.
